INSIDE Whitney Scharer: POETS IN THE PARK Whitney Scharer’s writing has been published in the Bellevue Literary Review, Cimarron Review, Mare Nostrum, and elsewhere. She is the recipient of a St. Botolph Emerging Artists grant, a Somerville Arts Council Artists Fellowship, a Loren D. Milliman Fellowship from the University of Washington, and the Gerberding Fellowship for study in Rome. She has also been awarded residencies at the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts and Ragdale. Whitney is the Development Director at Boston Harbor Now, and prior to that spent ten years as the Development and Communications Director at GrubStreet, Boston’s non-profit creative writing center. Whitney received her BA in English Literature from Wesleyan University and her MFA in creative writing from the University of Washington.
