The Tibetan word bardo means literally "intermediate state" - also translated as "transitional state".
In this new age of technology, digital souls have blossomed through the screens and fiber optic cables of the internet. Their existence a world of 1s and 0s, what NDPAE refers to as 'zeroBARDO' that contains time, space, life and death separate from our physical world. Performance art creates a paradox when captured in video, edited and spread through the portals of the internet and NDPAE recognizes the important role of the zeroBARDO in facilitating an exchange between our world and theirs. When an image is pulled through the zeroBARDO the structure of time is broken, and a digital realm for eternal life and death is looped and refreshed eternally.
NDPAE has invited three artists to activate the zeroBARDO and create a video which will act as a resting point between life, death and the interweb.

GJYD attempts to shed light on issues and create social change. GJYD is the manipulation of ideas and emotions in order to shift focus onto otherwise hidden agendas or social injustices. Using elements of truth, irony, humor and satire. Like a good prank, GJYD is meant to target closed-mindedness, prejudice, hatred and unquestioning thinking. GJYD deconstructs the status quo. GJYD attacks the misuse of power by media, government, business and religion. GJYD is a smoke and mirror illusion that can change people's perceptions and make them realize that most of their reality is–smoke and mirrors. www.gjyd.org
My work focuses on the body in actions. In these actions, mental and physical planes of existence are created, establishing autonomy within the limits of my endurance, physical movement, and structure. With my body, I alter and construct my vessel of experience, intrinsically connecting and emptying myself to a singular moment and time. During these moments I can then seek to communicate, focusing on the energy exchanged between the viewer and myself.
My practice is two-fold; live public actions performed for an audience and private actions performed for the camera. Both practices operate in complimentary forces, with actions relating in physical, aesthetic, and conceptual intensity.
